Playing with Clay
This session gives you two hours in the studio to settle in and make at your own pace.
Whether you’ve just started and returning to build on what you’ve begun, you’ll be guided through each stage of the process. From throwing on the wheel to turning, adding handles, and decorating your pieces.
It’s designed as a space to come back to, again and again, developing your work over time and exploring each step more deeply. I’ll be there throughout to support you, to help refine your technique and guide you and your pieces as they take shape.
Each session is for two and limited to just two people.
Unlike larger classes, where time and attention are stretched, this small group setting allows for focused, hands-on guidance throughout. It means you can learn each stage properly, not just try it, but understand it.
Each session includes your choice of 2 pieces to be bisque fired/ basic glazing and ready to become part of your everyday rituals. Additional pieces can be finished for a small fee.
Price is per person per session, a session is 2 hours. Please contact me to book your sessions until I get a Calendar set up.
Join me for two relaxed, two-hour sessions in my brand new studio in Hampshire.
These are one-to-one sessions so you have my full attention throughout.
With no distractions, we can focus closely on the details, refining your technique and building a deeper understanding of the process at your own pace.
In the first session, we will focus on throwing clay and getting comfortable at the wheel.
The second session is all about turning your pieces and adding handles if you so wish.
The price includes two pieces of your choice to be bisque fired and simply glazed. Any additional pieces you’d like fired and glazed can be added for an extra cost.
You’re welcome to collect your finished pieces once they’re ready, or I can post them to you for an additional fee.
I am extremely flexible with timings and happy to work to suit you but feel free to contact me before hand to talk times that work for you.
This session is a gentle introduction to throwing on the wheel.
With only two people in the class, there’s space to slow down, ask questions, and really begin to understand how the clay moves in your hands.
Aimed at those who haven’t thrown with me before and offered at an introductory rate, it’s a chance to try something new, get your hands dirty and enjoy the feeling of making your very first pieces.
This is a two hour session for two people, price is per person. Your work can be kept if you’d like to come back again and finish it. Or I can finish it for you for a small fee, but wouldn’t it be more rewarding to do that yourself?
So come with a friend, a partner or just on your own, but be warned, it is addictive…
